From Chief Meteorologist George Flickinger of ABC 13 - WSET:

SUNDAY MORNING: FIRST WINTER WX ADVISORY THIS SEASON

You could hear sleet and observe freezing rain on Sunday morning. This is NOT a Winter Storm.

Many locations in the ABC13 area will not observe any wintry weather: just cold rain.

As precip arrives Sunday morning, which is the coldest part of the day, an hour or two of freezing rain or sleet is possible.

Once the temperature rises above 32 on Sunday morning, the frozen precip ends, though “cold rain” will persist, then ending during the afternoon.

Slippery spots on roads can occur if you're receiving rain and temperatures are 32 degrees or colder.

Overnight lows for Saturday night/Sunday morning drop into the 20s. Then, temperatures slowly rise as clouds thicken ahead of the precipitation.

Most locations warm above 32 degrees by 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., if not before. Sunday afternoon highs reach the 40s.

Be careful driving early Sunday morning, especially around 4 a.m. to 8 a.m.
