ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) — Officials said no injuries have been reported after a mishap involving a commercial jet at the Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport on Wednesday evening.
According to the airport, crews are "responding to a commercial regional jet aircraft situated on the engineered materials arresting system on the end of runway 16-34."
The airport said the flight involved in the incident was United #4339 inbound from IAD, or Washington Dulles International Airport.
The airport said Roanoke Public Safety teams are helping transport passengers to the terminal, and all runways are closed as of 10 p.m.
A resource center is available for passengers and families on the second floor of the airport terminal.
