Jane Fonda once scared a wild bear out of her house to protect her grandson.

The Book Club actress recently appeared on Netflix's Skip Intro podcast with her son Troy and detailed the scary situation in its entirety. Her son took the lead, doting on his mother for her courageousness in an attempt to reveal something the world might not already know about her.

"She pushed a bear out of her bedroom," the actor, whom Fonda shared with late husband Tom Hayden (per People), explained, revealing that his mom lived in the "wild" in New Mexico and was babysitting his son.

"She heard something so she left the bedroom in the middle of the night to go see what the sound was. And when she came back in, the screen door was dismantled, and there was a bear in the bedroom, sniffing over the crib."

Troy then asked Fonda what she did when she came face to face with the wild animal, to which the silver screen queen replied (very loudly): "ROAR."

"I had just learned what to do if you're close to a bear. And that was it, and get very big. I opened my bathrobe...and the bear urinated on the rug," she remarked with a sad expression. "And then walked back to the door and sat down and I did-I pushed it out, yeah."
