Last month we told you about a Jif Peanut Butter recall – happening as a result of possible salmonella contamination.

About 16 people in a dozen states got sick, and now the recall has now been extended to other products made with Jif.

Here’s a list:

  • Taharka Brothers Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream
  • Walmart and Fudgeamentals Fudge
  • Del Monte brand cut fruit and vegetable products
  • Ready-to-eat Super Asian Chicken Salad (distributed to an Amazon Go location in Washington)

There’s a complete list of the recalled products here on the FDA's website that details how to check products in your home and what to do if they’re affected by the recall.

Keep in mind that most people recover from salmonellosis with no problems, but 450 people in the U.S. die from it every year.

Symptoms include diarrhea, fever, chills, and abdominal pain – and bottom line? If you think you’ve got it, call your doctor…better safe than sorry!
