Third Death Connected to Hepatitis A Outbreak at Roanoke Restaurant

ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) — A third person has died from complications related to hepatitis A after an outbreak in Roanoke.

The news of a third death related to the hepatitis A outbreak in Roanoke follows the announcement of a second death just hours before.

There have been a total of 49 confirmed cases of hepatitis A related to the outbreak in Roanoke, according to the RCAHD.

Of those cases, 31 were hospitalized.

Officials state that the exposure happened at Famous Anthony’s Grandin Rd., Williamson Rd. or Crystal Spring Ave locations.
