Arby's Restaurant Group, Inc. has released this statement on the rat-infested restaurant in Lynchburg:
“At Arby’s, we take the cleanliness of our restaurants seriously. We immediately conducted an internal investigation, in addition to a proper remediation, cleaning and sanitization of the restaurant. We have decided to temporarily close our Lynchburg location to ensure it meets our high operating standards. We will be working closely with the local health department, and look forward to reopening soon to once again serve our guests in Lynchburg.”
The Arbys on Memorial Ave in Lynchburg is shut down today after employees and patrons complaints of a rat infestation.
The shift manager was so disgusted that she refused to open the doors to customers Thursday morning.
"They are big, they are big now like New York size big. No exaggeration," said Talesha Banks, the shift manager.
Banks said they've been dealing with the situation for months, but Thursday was the final straw.
