No Bull! Time to talk Stampede Rodeo '26 with Rodeo Director Kevin Debusk!

Scott Stevens sat down with Rodeo Director Kevin Debusk to preview one of the most exciting weekends of the year — the Stampede Championship Rodeo at the Salem Civic Center. Debusk shared what fans can expect when the 2026 Stampede Championship Rodeo thunders into town, bringing three days of high‑energy, family‑friendly action.

This year’s competition lineup is packed with classic rodeo favorites, including bull riding, bronc busting, barrel racing, and plenty more arena‑shaking events. Whether you’re a longtime rodeo fan or brand‑new to the sport, there’s something for everyone to cheer for.

One of the most beloved traditions is also making its return: Boot Barn Mutton Busting. The first 10 young cowpokes ages 4–6 (and weighing 50 pounds or less) can sign up before each performance for the chance to hop on a sheep and see how long they can hang on. It’s always a crowd favorite — and often the most adorable event of the night.
