UPDATE: Missing 8-Year-Old Roanoke Girl with Autism Found Safe

UPDATE: Tuesday afternoon, RPD says the girl was found safe and unharmed inside a car about a mile from her home. She is now with her family.

ROANOKE, Va. (WSET) — The Roanoke Police Department says they are looking for a missing 8-year-old girl who has autism.

According to police, Cecelia “CeCe” Patterson was last seen at about 11 p.m. in the 2800 block of Florida Avenue NW.

According to Deputy CheifAccording to Deputy Chief Smith, she was last seen wearing a black dress, gray leggings and a blue spotted hat.

Cecelia is non-verbal and autistic -- if anyone sees her, approach slowly and reach out her hand so she feels comfortable and call 911.
