Gov. Northam Releases New Guidelines for Graduation Events

RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) — On Wednesday, Gov. Ralph Northam released guidance for how K-12 schools, colleges, and universities may safely hold in-person graduation events this spring.

According to the governor's office, graduation events held outdoors will be capped at 5,000 people, or 30% of the venue capacity, whichever is less.

Events held indoors may have up to 500 people, or 30% of the venue capacity, whichever is less.

Attendees will be required to wear masks and follow safety guidelines.
