Kings Dominion has announced one of their iconic roller coasters has retired.
"Part of getting ready for a new operating season includes an expert evaluation of our rides and operations," they said in a release. "As a part of that evaluation, every aspect of our rides and attractions are analyzed, from guest satisfaction, throughput and rider capacity to reliability, uptime and maintenance."
After an evaluation, the park announced Friday that they decided to remove Volcano: The Blast Coaster.
They said it wasn't an easy decision, because they know a lot of visitors love the one-of-a-kind coaster.
