The Amherst County Sheriff's Office said 14 people have been indicted on more than 38 drug and firearm charges as their efforts to target and arrest drug dealers and users continues in the county.
The indictments were issued on June 11 and since then, deputies with the Central Virginia Drug and Gang Task Force have begun systematically arresting and dismantling this distribution network.
This operation focused on identifying street level distributors and their sources of illegal narcotics.
The following individuals have been arrested:
Eretta Fix, 53, of Monroe – one count of continuing a criminal enterprise of methamphetamine etc. 250 grams or more.
Jason Poe, 38, of Monroe – one count of distribution of methamphetamine Schedule I or II, one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine Schedule I or II.
James Woods, 25, of Monroe – four counts of distribution of methamphetamine Schedule I or II, one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine Schedule I or II.
Amber Kesterson, 36, of Monroe – one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine Schedule I or II.
Randall Reynolds, 28, of Monroe – two counts of distribution of methamphetamine Schedule I or II, one count of possession of a firearm with a Schedule I or II, one count of possession of a firearm after being a convicted felon, one count of possession of ammunition after being a convicted felon.
Aaron Bailey, 31, of Monroe – one count of distribution of methamphetamine Schedule I or II, one count of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine Schedule I or II.
Albert Branham, 37, of Madison Heights – four counts of selling and passing secrete unlawful chemical compound in a correctional facility.
Zachary Brown, 18, of Evington – one count of distribution of methamphetamine Schedule I or II.
Bridgett Martin, 31, of Madison Heights – one count of possession with the intent to sell methamphetamine Schedule I or II, two counts of distribution of methamphetamine Schedule I or II.
Justin Shepherd, 23, of Charlotte Court House – two counts of distribution of imitation Schedule I or II.
James Bryant, 37, of Lynchburg - two counts of distribution of methamphetamine Schedule I or II.
Amanda Burton, 28, of Lynchburg – four counts of distribution of methamphetamine Schedule I or II.
